In 2011, Dan Meyer wrote a blog post about the three acts of a mathematical task. Since then, math educators from around the world have been using this idea to develop tasks in this format. MLP started a virtual PLC that met once per month online to discuss 3-act tasks and how to use them with students. We developed tasks together, tried them with students, and then shared what we learned so we could refine the tasks as well as our teaching.  Below are my first 3-act tasks. Feel free to try them with students and share any feedback with my on Twitter: @MikeFlynn55
