Schedules

MLP consists of three institutes:

• Developing Mathematical Ideas (DMI):  Participants choose one of the seven content strands of DMI and become familiar with the content of that module –opens at 8:30 AM on Monday, July 8 and closes at 12:30 PM on Friday, July 12, 2013.
• MLP Leadership Program:  Provides professional development that targets the specific needs and interests of math coaches, administrators, and teacher-leaders who want to support the improvement of math instruction  – opens at 8:30 AM on Monday, July 15 and closes at 4:30 PM on Friday, July 19, 2013.
• Developing Mathematical Ideas-Facilitation (DMI-F):  Participants choose one of the seven content strands wtih which they are familiar to learn how to facilitate a seminar based on this module –opens at 8:30 AM on Monday, July 15 and closes at 4:30 PM on Friday, July 19, 2013.

Fees

The fee for each one-week non-residential program is $2,450. Participants may apply to attend one or two weeks. Program fees include lunch on Monday through Friday. Participants will make their own arrangements for other meals and overnight accommodations.

Special Pricing for Attending for Two weeks: For those who attend the first week of DMI content, one of the leadership institutes will be offered at the reduced rate of $1,500. Attend one week for $2,450; attend two weeks for $3,950.

Refunds

If you are accepted into the program and cannot attend, refunds will be offered only if your place in the program can be filled either by another educator at your site or through our wait list.

Course Materials

Each participant is responsible for purchasing the course materials.

For DMI, purchase the casebook for the appropriate DMI module. See DMI Materials for more information about the description, cost, and purchasing information. Plan to order well in advance to receive the book in time to bring with you.

For DMI-F, purchase the Facilitator Package for the appropriate DMI module; this includes the casebook, facilitator guide and DVD. If you are attending both DMI and DMI-F the Facilitator Package provides all you need for both institutes. See DMI Materials for more information about the cost and purchasing information. Plan to order well in advance to receive materials in time to bring with you.

ALL MLP institutes are subject to cancellation in the event of insufficient enrollment. In such cases, full refunds will be offered.
